K. Khalfani Ra wurde 1958 in Kingston, Jamaika geboren. Er studierte Malerei an der Edna Manley School of the Visual Arts (ehemals Jamaica School of Art) und schloss sie 1983 mit Diplom ab. 2015 erwarb er den Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) in Painting and Drawing .
